Deployable Energy was founded in 2025 on a simple idea: nuclear energy should be a product, not a project. The modern US industrial base is built to manufacture products—repeatable, scalable systems that can be deployed quickly and affordably. We build aircraft at scale, not airports. Energy should be no different.

 

Based in Houston’s Energy Corridor, we are building nuclear systems in the same way the energy industry builds everything else—through world-class engineering, manufacturing, and supply chains that already operate on a global scale. Our location places us at the center of the world’s energy expertise, with direct access to the infrastructure and talent required to deliver complex systems reliably and efficiently.

 

Our team brings together leaders from venture-backed deep-tech energy startups, the commercial, research and naval nuclear sectors, traditional energy companies, the military, the U.S. Department of Energy, and national laboratories. We combine entrepreneurial speed with deep technical and regulatory experience to solve one of the hardest problems in energy: delivering affordable, reliable power at scale.

 

This philosophy drives our technology. Our understanding of these real-world constraints serves as the foundation for our reactor design. The Unity™ microreactor is a 1 MWe nuclear battery designed for manufacturability and rapid deployment. It uses standard fuels, materials, and industrial processes already available at commercial scale. The result is a system that can be produced in volume, deployed quickly, and operated reliably across a wide range of applications.

 

We are building a future where energy is abundant, resilient, and accessible for behind-the-meter applications, remote communities, maritime and mission-critical operations. Our vision is to deploy hundreds of gigawatts of Unity™ nuclear batteries worldwide, creating a new, scalable energy backbone built on manufacturing, not megaprojects.
